Currently, River Fox supports the Oculus Rift (with Touch controllers) and the HTC Vive. Depending on your workspace set up you may prefer one VR headset over another. Below are comparisons between the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive based on workspaces and situations.
If you are…
Primarily working at a desk and need portability:
Oculus Rift has two desktop sensors connected via USB so the entire set up can be done on a desk. As it is the smaller system of the two, it is easier to disassemble and carry to off-site meetings and to quickly set up in unfamiliar spaces.
Needing surround tracking and more walking space:
The HTC Rift requires two infrared sensors called "Lighthouses" to track the space which can be configured for a larger tracked area. It has a maximum tracking field of 15 x 15 feet (4.5m x 4.5m) which is ideal if you are planning to set up a dedicated VR space in the office. It is possible to travel with the HTC Vive but equipment and set up can get a little clunky.
