Exporting a project from Revit
Download the Inspace app from your the login page and run the installer. During the installation process you'll be given the option of installing different Revit Addins. Select the components that correspond to the version(s) of Revit you use and complete the install.
Once you've successfully installed Inspace, open up Revit. In some cases you may get a Revit pop up asking you to 'Allow' the plugin to load. Once you open up any project you will see the Inspace tab in its own banner.
Click on Inspace > Experience > Create VR to open up the exporter dialogue. From here you'll be able to rename a project and select what to bring into Inspace.
Layers in Revit will bring through different categories.
Selecting a saved Section Box will let you bring through only what's within the section box instead of entire project.
Phases will let you toggle different stages of the project within Inspace.
Views are saved 3D cameras that we bring through in Inspace as navigation hot spots. This is super useful to get from one place to another without navigating through the project.
The drop-down option for Links will let you select any linked files within your Revit project.
You can also choose to toggle off Lights, Materials and Textures if you want to increase project performance in Inspace or decrease the export time.
Once you're happy with the settings click Start Sync and you'll be asked to choose a file save location on your computer. You can save the Revit export anywhere on your computer, so that you can utilise a shared server so your team has access to your Inspace projects.
Exports out from Revit to Inspace as an .ipf file
Double click on the .ipf file to launch the project in Inspace. You can also open up Inspace, and click the Create New Project button in the project manager and browse for the .ipf file from your computer.
Once you’ve opened a project it will stay in the project manager. Note that if you make any changes to the Revit project, you will need to update the .ipf file by re-exporting again from Revit.
