In River Fox, there are a variety of ways to take feedback, mark ideas, or flag issues in the design.
The Markup tool, an extension of the Annotation Tool, allows a user in VR to draw visual cues, stamp various icons and color code their markups for future users or screenshots.
To start using Markups simply open the Annotation Tool (bottom-middle in the Toolbar):
Freehand drawing affords the user the most freedom in leaving their comment, simply activate the pen icon at the top-left of the Annotations panel, set your color and width and hold the Right-Trigger to begin drawing.
Currently, drawings are placed from the tip of your controller (at your hand), for example:
Callouts are a set of predefined shapes available to "stamp" on the scene. Currently, we have Circle, Cross, Exclamation, Question, and Tick.
These are created much in the same way as the Pen option, simply select the Stamp icon at the top-middle of the Annotation panel, select which shape to stamp from the list, set your color and size, and use the Right-Trigger to place within the scene. Callouts place at the end of the pointer, allowing you to mark objects from a distance, for example:
To erase either kind of Markup, simply select the Eraser at the top-right of the Annotations panel, and hold the Right-Trigger whilst aiming at the markup to delete. Drawings can also be deleted at your hand the same way, or from a distance, for example:
